Jenel Chesley Brayl’s expansive career in fashion, design, beauty and sales make her a sought after consultant in the fashion and beauty industries. Over the course of her 9 year tenure at Kate Spade she worked directly with Kate and her husband Andy Spade, CEO and Creative Director, in all aspects of their business and personal lives which offered an intimate understanding of each facet of the business as well as a priceless education in design and contemporary art.
In 2008, she moved to Los Angeles, and took a position alongside documentary film producer and highly esteemed architectural preservationist, Michael LaFetra. With him she had the privilege of working in Malibu, managing the final project of the late Pierre Koenig, as well as restorations of homes by architects such as John Lautner, Paul Williams, RM Schindler, A. Quincy Jones and Ray Kappe.
In 2010 she was recruited to join the boutique fashion brand Tucker by Gaby Basora after their design studio suffered a massive fire. Partnering with Gaby, she played an instrumental role in rebuilding the brand.
Since then, she's worked on both coasts as a freelance business consultant for numerous beauty, fashion and jewelry brands on large and small scale projects. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband and their dog Pants.
